"Through play children experience, try out, and make decisions about the world as they encounter it."

Through play children experience, try out, and make decisions about the world as they encounter it. Play therapy, coupled with parent consultation and engaging parents in their child’s play, is often the most appropriate treatment modality for preschool and elementary aged children.

Play therapy is not for young children only. Incorporating nonverbal, playful activities

intermixed with traditional talk therapy often provides a relaxed and fun opportunity for older teens and adults to gain self-understanding and try out new skills.
